RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's medal haul at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Japan continued to grow on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, as strong performances in badminton and surfing boosted the country's overall tally and strengthened its position in the medal race.

Following the latest results, Indonesia's total has risen to 33 medals, consisting of 3 gold, 10 silver, and 20 bronze medals. The latest gold medal was delivered by men's doubles pair Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin, who captured the Asian Games title and added to Indonesia's badminton success after the men's team gold medal earlier in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Indonesia collected two additional silver medals on the same day. Surfer I Made Pajar Ariyana won silver in the men's shortboard event after reaching the final, while mixed doubles pair Amri Syahnawi and Nita Violina Marwah secured silver after finishing runners-up in the badminton competition.

With those additions, badminton has emerged as Indonesia's most productive sport at the games, contributing two gold medals, two silver medals, and three bronze medals, for a total of seven medals. Weightlifting remains the country's other gold-medal contributor, also delivering one bronze medal.

Beyond badminton, Indonesia's silver medals have come from rowing, teqball, sport climbing, surfing, shooting, and esports, reflecting a broad spread of achievements across multiple sports.

Bronze medals continue to make up the largest portion of the tally. Wushu leads Indonesia's bronze-medal contributors with five medals, while karate, sepak takraw, and mountain biking have each added two bronze medals. Additional podium finishes have come from mixed martial arts, soft tennis, canoe sprint, BMX racing, badminton, and teqball.

The latest surge highlights Indonesia's growing competitiveness across a range of disciplines rather than relying solely on traditional medal sources. With several events still remaining on the schedule, the contingent retains opportunities to further improve both its medal tally and its position in the overall standings. ***
