Indonesia Pro-Am 2026 Strengthens Amateur–Professional Golf Synergy

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesia Pro-Am tournament presented by Combiphar & Nomura 2026 is not only about competition but also about building bridges between amateur and professional golfers.

Returning for its fourth edition, the tournament brings together 100 professionals and 100 amateurs at Gunung Geulis Country Club, Bogor, West Java, from August 19–21, offering a rare chance for amateurs to sharpen their competitive mindset alongside seasoned players.

President Director of Combiphar Michael Wanandi emphasized that the event is designed to provide Indonesian amateurs with valuable exposure to the pressures of international competition.

With a prize pool of USD 150,000, including USD 125,000 for the professional individual category and USD 25,000 for the pro-am team event, the tournament remains a key fixture on the Asian Development Tour calendar.

Participants will rotate between the East and West Courses of Gunung Geulis during the first two rounds before advancing to the final. Managing Director of International Wealth Management at Nomura Singapore Limited, Yohei Akasaki, noted the enthusiasm among amateurs.

“Their strong interest signals the need for competitive events that deliver a different kind of experience," he said, as quoted by Antara.

Gunung Geulis, hosting the Pro-Am for the fourth time, has become synonymous with ADT events since 2016. Indonesian golfers continue to draw attention. Kevin Caesario Akbar, champion of the inaugural edition in 2023, returns, while Naraajie Emerald Ramadhan Putra, who finished tied for third in 2025, will again challenge the field.

Past editions have seen pro-am champions from Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, and Indonesia, underscoring the event’s international appeal.

By blending professional rigor with amateur participation, Indonesia Pro-Am has evolved into more than a tournament. It is a developmental platform, preparing local talent for higher stages while enriching the competitive ecosystem of Asian golf. ***
