RRI.CO.ID, Kendari - The Kendari State Assets and Auction Service Office (KPKNL) is stepping up efforts to optimize the use of state-owned assets in Southeast Sulawesi as part of measures to increase non-tax state revenue (PNBP). The optimization focuses on ensuring that state assets that are not being fully utilized can provide greater economic benefits.
Head of KPKNL Kendari, Irfan Nugraha, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, said state-owned assets are managed through proper administration, utilization, and management in accordance with applicable regulations. He said assets that are not being optimally used by government work units, ministries, or agencies could be utilized to support state revenue.
Irfan explained that state assets could be utilized through various mechanisms, including leasing assets that have the potential to be used by other parties. The measure is expected not only to generate additional revenue for the state but also to contribute to economic activity in Southeast Sulawesi.
He said the utilization of these assets could provide additional income for government institutions and the state, while also supporting the local economy when assets are available for lease.
As of now, state revenue generated from the management and utilization of assets and state-owned goods in Southeast Sulawesi has reached 8.45 billion rupiah, or 85.89 percent of the 2026 target of 9.84 billion rupiah. The figure consists of 7.38 billion rupiah in State Asset Management PNBP, 59.66 million rupiah in State Receivables, and 1 billion rupiah in Auction PNBP.
Meanwhile, Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury, Iman Widhiyanto, has encouraged KPKNL to strengthen its services, particularly those related to state assets and auctions. He said public understanding of KPKNL's services and responsibilities needs to be continuously improved.
Iman said greater public understanding is important to ensure that KPKNL services are properly known and utilized. He also expressed hope that people would become more familiar with the service standards and mechanisms provided by KPKNL, helping to prevent misunderstandings regarding its services.
KPKNL Kendari will continue encouraging government ministries and agencies in Southeast Sulawesi to improve the management of state-owned assets, from recording and administration to asset utilization. More effective asset management is expected to ensure that state property generates greater benefits while supporting higher non-tax state revenue and regional economic activity.
