RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has increased Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) through the auction of coal seized during law enforcement actions, generating an additional IDR 20,976,670,000.

The coal was seized by the Directorate General of Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). The ministry said the achievement demonstrates that law enforcement can provide legal certainty while optimizing state revenue in a transparent and accountable manner.

The Samarinda State Assets and Auction Service Office (KPKNL) conducted the auction through the lelang.go.id platform in accordance with applicable regulations. PT Wisesa Janitra Sejahtera was declared the winner on July 8, 2026, after completing all procedural stages.

Director General of Law Enforcement at the Ministry of ESDM, Rilke Jeffri Huwae, said the successful auction reflects the ministry’s commitment to properly managing the outcomes of enforcement actions. He emphasized that effective management is essential to ensuring that assets resulting from enforcement operations benefit the state.

“The success of this auction shows that law enforcement in the ESDM sector does not stop at the enforcement process. We ensure that the results of every enforcement action are managed professionally, thereby making a tangible contribution to state revenue through PNBP,” Jeffri said in Jakarta on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

The auctioned item consisted of a single lot of coal totaling approximately 76,742 metric tons. The coal was stored at 11 stockpile locations across Samarinda City and Kutai Kartanegara Regency.

The winning bidder has been given a maximum of 60 calendar days to complete the coal transport process. The deadline for unloading, loading, and transporting the coal is set for September 10, 2026, in accordance with applicable regulations.

Jeffri said all post-auction stages will be monitored until the coal removal process is complete. Oversight is being conducted to ensure that all operations proceed in accordance with government-established rules and regulations.

“The auction process does not mark the end of law enforcement. We will continue to provide oversight and guidance to ensure the coal is removed from all stockpile locations in an orderly, safe, and transparent manner that complies with applicable regulations,” he said.

During the coal removal process, the Directorate General of Law Enforcement will coordinate with relevant agencies, including the harbormaster’s office, the port authority, and local law enforcement.

These measures aim to ensure that the coal removal process runs smoothly, remains orderly, and meets all regulatory requirements. Guidance is also provided to maintain transparency throughout all post-auction stages.

The auction of state-controlled goods was conducted pursuant to Ministerial Decree Number 162.K/HK.02/MEM.H/2026, which provides the legal basis for auctioning coal commodities seized through law enforcement actions in the mining sector.

The ministry said the achievement demonstrates its commitment to strengthening law enforcement while optimizing the management of state assets to improve natural resource governance.

In addition to serving as a deterrent against violations, law enforcement supports increased state revenue through legitimate mechanisms. These measures are expected to promote natural resource management that maximizes public prosperity in line with government regulations. (Misni Parjiati)
