RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Prominent global corporate leaders, investors, and policymakers will gather in Jakarta for the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2026, taking place on 6–7 October 2026, at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta. Centered on the theme "Investing for a Resilient, Sustainable, and Prosperous World," the fourth edition of ISF 2026 will deepen collaboration among government leaders, the business community, investors, financial institutions, academics, and international organizations.
Together, they will explore how growth, innovation, technology, and finance can contribute to a future that is more sustainable, resilient, and prosperous. Through ISF 2026, Indonesia further strengthens its position as a pivotal hub in the global dialogue on the future of sustainable growth by bringing together ideas, financing opportunities, technologies, and partnerships to address upcoming development challenges.
According to a release received by Voice of Indonesia on Saturday, 3 October 2026, ISF 2026 is driven by an ambition shared by Indonesia and many other nations: how to maintain economic growth momentum while simultaneously accelerating the low-carbon transition, bolstering resilience, and improving the quality of life for the population. This year, ISF 2026 focuses on "Powering Low-Carbon Growth" on the first day and "Enabling a Resilient & Liveable Future" on the second. Both themes offer complementary perspectives, ranging from how strategic sectors can drive low-carbon growth to how various enablers can strengthen the foundations for resilient and inclusive growth.
Rachmat Kaimuddin, Chair of the ISF 2026 Organizing Committee, stated that amidst global dynamics, Indonesia continues to identify opportunities to reinforce its agenda for sustainable and resilient growth.
"Amidst shifting global trends and dynamics, maintaining the consistency of the sustainability agenda has become increasingly critical. For Indonesia, the challenge lies in sustaining growth momentum while simultaneously driving the transition toward a more sustainable economy," said Rachmat Kaimuddin.
Meanwhile, Shinta Kamdani, Vice Chairwoman for Human Development, Culture, and Sustainability at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), noted that sustainability is increasingly becoming an integral part of business growth and competitiveness strategies.
“Sustainability is increasingly shaping how the business world views growth, competitiveness, and future opportunities. For companies, this transition opens up avenues for innovation, value creation, and the building of long-term competitiveness. ISF 2026 brings together the business community, investors, the government, and various strategic partners to explore these opportunities and foster collaboration that supports sustainable and resilient growth,” stated Shinta Kamdani.
Rachmat Kaimuddin added that ISF 2026 serves as a platform to bring together diverse perspectives and examine how the sustainability agenda can be translated into opportunities for creating long-term value for Indonesia. ISF 2023 drew over 2,000 participants from more than 40 countries, while ISF 2024 and 2025 attracted over 11,000 and 10,000 participants respectively, with more than 100 speakers at each event.
The forum also brought together CEOs and business leaders and facilitated the signing of over 30 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) focused on various aspects of the energy transition. ISF 2026 will feature over 200 international speakers across a series of plenary and thematic sessions, representing governments, international organizations, the business community, financial institutions, academia, and various global institutions.
Confirmed speakers and keynote speakers include:
● Anindya Bakrie – Chairman, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN)
● Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana – Under-Secretary-General & Executive Secretary, UNESCAP
● Hashim Djojohadikusumo – Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Indonesia for Climate & Energy
The presence of these speakers reflects the increasingly broad scope of the ISF, with perspectives drawn from diverse sectors and regions. In total, ISF 2026 will feature over 20 sessions and bring together thousands of participants from government, the business community, academia, think tanks, the investment sector, and philanthropic organizations.
