RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesian government, along with UNICEF, has officially launched the Country Program Action Plan (CPAP) for the 2026–2030 period. The launch event took place at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas office, Jakarta, Monday, April 20, 2026.

Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Rachmat Pambudy, personally inaugurated the new work program with UNICEF as a strategic guide to improving the quality of life for children throughout Indonesia. In his remarks, Minister Rachmat explained that this action plan, known as the Country Program Action Plan (CPAP), is a crucial foundation for long-term national development.

“What we call the Country Program Action Plan is our foundational step to continue our national development. What kind of national development? What we hope for is development that continues the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) and National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), and ultimately, we must prioritize quality of life, and that quality of life must begin with pregnant mothers and children in the womb. And that is why the very first program implemented by the President, the most fundamental program, is providing food,” he said.

In line with the government’s vision, UNICEF Indonesia Representative, Maniza Zaman, also expressed her high appreciation for the start of this new phase of cooperation. She underscored that the 2026–2030 program was designed based on the results of an in-depth evaluation to ensure its implementation is more effective.

She stated, “Building on the strong foundation of the previous program cycle, the new CPAP envisions a more focused, systemic, scalable, and sustainable approach. The country program evaluation has led to following strategic adjustments.”

The six strategic adjustments in this CPAP include strengthening systems, data, a focus on decentralization, measurable inclusion, climate resilience, and smart investments. Concluding her statement, Maniza reminded everyone that the future of the Indonesian nation depends heavily on the magnitude of the government’s investment in the well-being of today’s children.
