Government Appreciates SVLK-Certified Furniture Producer in Banyuwangi

RRI.CO.ID, Banyuwangi — The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Trade, expressed its appreciation to export-standard furniture manufacturer PT Warisan Eurindo for its commitment to implementing the Timber Legality and Sustainability Verification System (SVLK). This appreciation was conveyed directly by Minister of Trade Budi Santoso while inspecting the company's production facility in Banyuwangi, East Java, on Friday, August 28, 2026.

The implementation of legal timber certification is considered a key factor in strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesian teak furniture products in global markets. This step also proves that local manufacturing industries are capable of meeting strict environmental sustainability standards for international investors and consumers.

Budi emphasized that the government continues to support the consistency of business players in expanding their global export market reach. Direct field inspections are conducted to ensure that operational constraints faced by producers can be effectively addressed through government support.

“These high-quality furniture products from PT Warisan Eurindo are made of teak wood and already hold SVLK certificates to prove their eco-friendly nature. SVLK is an essential asset in maintaining the competitiveness of our furniture products in global markets that support the principle of using legal and verified timber,” he said.

The Ministry of Trade also invited national teak and rattan furniture producers to participate in the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) international export exhibition in October 2026. The presence of a specialized furniture display area at the event is expected to attract foreign buyers from various countries.

“We want to showcase high-quality Indonesian rattan and teak furniture whose raw materials and production genuinely originate from us,” he stated.

PT Warisan Eurindo, which has been operating since 1989, continues to supply premium-quality furniture and home decor products to Asia, America, and Europe. This success demonstrates that integrating verified raw materials with local craftsmanship allows for strong competitiveness in global supply chains.
