RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta — The Ministry of Trade is optimistic that the transaction value of National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) 2026 can grow by up to 10 percent to strengthen national economic growth toward the end of the year. This strategic target was delivered by Minister of Trade Budi Santoso during the inauguration of the Kick-off Road to Harbolnas 2026 in Jakarta on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
This year's Harbolnas is scheduled to take place from December 10 to 16, 2026, featuring the hashtag #PilihLokalUntukNusantara. The national campaign serves as an important momentum for global and domestic consumers to support superior products from Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, emphasized the importance of synergy among ministries, agencies, and stakeholders in expanding promotional reach. This collaborative step is expected to provide a real stimulus to boost public purchasing power in the fourth quarter of 2026.
“We hope the transaction value at Harbolnas 2026 can increase by 5–10 percent compared to last year's Harbolnas achievements. We open opportunities for collaboration with ministries, agencies, and stakeholders to participate in various forms of activations, campaigns, and promotional programs throughout the Road to Harbolnas 2026 series to further amplify Harbolnas 2026,” he said.
The Harbolnas 2026 event also expands its scope by involving Online Travel Agent (OTA) platforms and digital service providers. The expansion of this digital trade ecosystem is part of implementing the latest regulations to accommodate the evolution of e-commerce business models.
“The government continues to support the strengthening of the e-commerce ecosystem through various regulatory drafting, digital infrastructure provision, and facilitation of e-commerce collaboration involving MSMEs, industry associations, and consumers,” Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto stated.
For comparison, Harbolnas 2025 recorded transactions worth IDR 36.4 trillion or US$ 2.08 billion, with local product contributions reaching IDR 16.6 trillion or US$ 948.57 million. Through the active involvement of prominent marketplace platforms, the government remains optimistic that this year's event will further solidify the competitiveness of Indonesia's digital industry.
