KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesia's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Minister Maman Abdurrahman emphasized that National Entrepreneurship Day is crucial for Indonesian entrepreneurs to strengthen the country's business ecosystem.

According to Minister Maman, stakeholders are eager to see entrepreneurship and MSMEs not only grow in numbers but also improve in quality.

He stressed that globally competitive MSMEs could contribute significantly to Indonesia's gross domestic product (GDP).

"The development and strengthening of entrepreneurship can be one of the main pillars of the national economic strategy. Every new entrepreneur not only creates a job for themselves but also opens employment opportunities for others," Maman said on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

He noted that Indonesian entrepreneurs possess a strong spirit, supported by policies that foster a thriving business ecosystem.

"Under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, there is a full commitment to continue supporting the strengthening and development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Various policies and initiatives have been implemented to support entrepreneurs and MSMEs," Maman explained.

He outlined key measures to foster business growth, including streamlined licensing processes, improved access to financing, skill development through training and mentorship, and facilitation of marketing and digitalization. Additionally, initiatives have strengthened business partnerships and supply chains.

Maman also highlighted Indonesia's ambitious entrepreneurship ratio target of 3.6 percent by 2029. He underscored that this figure is more than just a number—it reflects entrepreneurs' determination and aspiration to continue evolving and driving innovation. ***
