RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's participation and commitment under President Prabowo's leadership to play an active role in ensuring that the peace transition process in Gaza does not neglect the rights of the Palestinian people, has received appreciation and support from Babe Haikal.

According to Babe Haikal, all of President Prabowo's diplomatic efforts reflect Indonesia's consistent position of prioritizing the Palestinian cause as a foreign policy priority, while also affirming Indonesia's active role in establishing world order through international cooperation and constructive dialogue.

This was conveyed by Babe Haikal, a national figure long known as a Palestinian peace and independence activist, when answering media questions in his office on Wednesday, January 28th 2026, about Indonesia's participation in the board of peace, a body designed to oversee the transition, stabilization, and reconstruction of peace in Gaza, Palestine.

According to a release received by Voice of Indonesia on Wednesday, January 26th 2026 Babe Haikal believes that peace in the region can only be achieved if Palestine obtains complete and internationally recognized sovereignty.

Most recently, in January 2026, Prabowo participated in the signing of the Board of Peace charter on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

The body was designed to oversee the post-conflict transition, stabilization, and reconstruction of Gaza.
