  • The project involves moving major hotels, like Pullman Mandalika, under one management system, using teamwork between different state companies to boost Indonesia's tourism and economy.

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – InJourney continues to speed up the transformation of the national tourism sector through the consolidation of the hotel portfolio owned by State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and managed by its subsidiary, InJourney Hospitality. This transformation process has entered a crucial phase following a series of signings of Conditional Sale and Purchase Agreements (CSPAs) on June 11, 2026, and June 26, 2026.

According to a written press release issued on Saturday, June 27, 2026, these steps serve as the initial foundation for building a more globally competitive hospitality industry. “This consolidation is not merely a merger of hotel assets, but a transformative step toward building a foundation for Indonesia’s hospitality industry that is more competitive on the global stage,” InJourney’s CEO, Maya Watono said.

This consolidation effort also serves as a solution to a number of challenges that state-owned hotels have long faced, such as brand fragmentation, varying service standards, and suboptimal operational performance. With more integrated management, each asset is expected to reach its full potential while creating synergies that add value to the entire ecosystem.

The initial phase of consolidation began with the signing of the CSPA on June 11, 2026, which included the transfer of the InJourney Group’s hotel business units to InJourney Hospitality. The transferred assets include The Manohara Hotel, Pullman Mandalika, and five airport hotels managed by the IAS Group.

On the same occasion, a Conditional Share Purchase Agreement for PT Hotel Indonesia Properti (HIPRO) was also signed as part of the restructuring of the hotel portfolio ownership within the InJourney Group. The process then continued on June 26, 2026, with the signing of a CSPA involving nine state-owned enterprises (SOEs).

The success of this transformation was also supported by various stakeholders, ranging from the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency, Danantara Asset Management, all SOEs and their subsidiaries that own hotel assets, to various parties involved in the entire consolidation process.

“With close collaboration among all stakeholders, we are optimistic that the consolidation of state-owned hotels will serve as the foundation for a stronger national tourism ecosystem, provide world-class experiences for customers, and create sustainable economic value for Indonesia,” Maya stated.
