RRI.CO.ID, Cirebon - Indoneisa's Tourism Minister, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, directly reviewed several leading tourist destinations in Cirebon on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, including the Kasepuhan Palace, the Cirebon Mask Museum, the Batik Trusmi area such as EB Traditional Batik Store, and Cirebon Railway Station. During the visit, the Minister explained that the trip was part of the Ministry of Tourism’s commitment to ensuring that visitors can enjoy safe, comfortable, and pleasant destinations during the upcoming long holidays of Nyepi and Eid.

“This working visit in the middle of the Ramadan month is important for us to directly observe how tourist attractions in Cirebon City and Regency are preparing for the long holiday momentum of Nyepi and Eid,” Minister Widiyanti conveyed as quoted by an official statement.

Along with representatives of the tourism industry, the Mayor of Cirebon, the Cirebon Tourism Office, and accompanied by the Deputy for Destination and Infrastructure at the Ministry of Tourism, the minister reviewed the readiness of public services, facilities, cleanliness, and safety aspects at each destination visited.

The first destination inspected was Kasepuhan Palace, an iconic historical attraction and the oldest palace in West Java. The Tourism Minister ensured that Kasepuhan Palace is ready to welcome visitors with its serene atmosphere, well-preserved historic buildings, and a royal heritage museum that houses valuable collections, including the Singa Barong carriage.

“We visited Kasepuhan Palace and it is an honor for us to be received directly by His Majesty Sultan Sepuh XV of the Kasepuhan Palace of Cirebon,” Widiyanti said.

The next destination was the Cirebon Mask Museum, known as an educational tourism site featuring hundreds of traditional mask collections. The museum showcases the rich cultural philosophy of Cirebon through around 132 to 150 mask characters as well as a replica of the Paksi Naga Liman carriage.

The minister then visited the EB Batik souvenir center in the Batik Trusmi area, where she observed firsthand the creative economy activities developing in the region.

The visit continued to Cirebon Railway Station to ensure the readiness of transportation services ahead of the homecoming travel period. The minister reviewed various available facilities, including information centers, ticket counters, restrooms, health facilities, and lactation rooms. During the visit, she also spoke with visitors to hear feedback directly from the public.

“Traveling by train also sends a strong message that homecoming journeys can be carried out safely and comfortably using public transportation. We have witnessed firsthand, both at Gambir Station and in Cirebon, that officers are ready to welcome and provide the best service for travelers returning home for Eid,” she said.

The Tourism Minister also urged all stakeholders within Indonesia’s tourism ecosystem to continue maintaining safety and comfort for travelers during the Nyepi and Eid holiday period.

“In this way, tourists can enjoy beautiful and memorable holiday experiences when visiting destinations across Indonesia,” she conveyed.
