You will find a mix of black and white sandy beaches, nature reserves full of animals, and exciting tourist activities from morning to night. It's like stepping into a living painting where every corner offers a new story.

Here are some exciting activities that you can do during your visit to Pangandaran:

1.   Swimming and Playing in the Sand on the West Beach

Pangandaran's West Beach is known for its relatively calm waves and expansive shoreline suitable for swimming, playing ball, or simply sunbathing.

It's perfect for those who want to relax while enjoying the sound of the waves. There are also life vest rentals for kids, so it's very family-friendly!


2.   Snorkeling and Banana Boat on the East Coast

At Pangandaran's East Beach, you can enjoy snorkelling packages with prices ranging from Rp75,000 to Rp100,000 per person, depending on the duration and operator.

The standard package for Rp75,000 covers about 1 hour, with boat, buoy, snorkelling gear, guide, even documentation and insurance; the minimum number of participants is usually 2 to 5 people.

For the banana boat, the price starts from Rp35,000 to Rp75,000 per person, with a duration of about 10 to 15 minutes and a capacity of 5 to 10 people per banana boat, depending on the package you choose.


3.   Exploring Caves and Protected Forest in the Nature Reserve Area

Not far from the beach, you can enter the Pangandaran Nature Reserve to explore caves and tropical forests. Admission to the reserve costs around Rp16,000 per person (weekday) to Rp21,000 during the weekend.

Here you can do some light trekking through grassy paths and large trees, watch long-tailed macaques, deer, peacocks, and enter a cave dating back to the Japanese era.

If you're curious about the atmosphere of the cave, flashlights are also available for rent for Rp 10,000 each. The exploration route is easy to reach, perfect for those of you who want to be one with nature.


4.   Culinary Tour of Fresh Seafood at the Fish Market and Local Restaurants

Pangandaran's culinary scene is no less tempting! At the East Coast fish market, you can pick your fresh fish, squid, or shrimp and have them grilled at local stalls.

A portion of grilled fish or squid is usually priced at Rp30,000 to Rp60,000, depending on the size and type.

Local restaurants also serve specialties such as stir-fried water spinach, sambal terasi, which is a spicy sauce, and there is also a choice of white rice or nasi uduk.


5.   Rent a Bike or ATV Along the Coastline

For a more relaxed yet active experience, you can rent a bike or ATV and ride along the coastline from west to east.

This activity is suitable for those of you who want to enjoy the beach breeze while exercising lightly. The bicycle can be rented daily or by the hour with prices starting from just Rp20,000.


6.   Enjoying Sunset and Sunrise from Two Different Sides of the Beach

One unique thing that you can only experience in Pangandaran is seeing sunrise and sunset on two different sides of the beach!

In the morning, come to East Beach to watch the sunrise from behind the calm sea.
