RRI.CO.ID, Madinah - The Indonesian government is strengthening meal distribution for Hajj pilgrims using a digital system in 2026. The update was delivered in Madinah on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

The system aims to improve order and accuracy in distributing meals to Indonesian pilgrims. It also supports more transparent and efficient monitoring of food services during the Hajj period.

Head of Consumption Division for Indonesian Hajj Organizers in Saudi Arabia, Indri Hapsari, explained the implementation of the system. She said it integrates data management with real-time monitoring for better service delivery.

The system utilizes the Data and Information Technology Center of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. It is integrated with a web-based digital “faturoh” system to support real-time supervision.

The following is her statement delivered during a briefing session in Madinah attended by officers. She highlighted the importance of accurate and transparent distribution for all pilgrims.

“By utilizing support from the Data and Information Technology Center, supervision of meal distribution can be conducted in real time. This helps ensure that every pilgrim receives their entitlement according to regulations,” she said.

She added that meal collection is conducted by group leaders at each hotel location. The process uses a scanning system to ensure all distributions are digitally recorded and monitored.

“Meal collection is carried out by group leaders using a scanning system. Everything is recorded and can be monitored,” she said.

The Indonesian government stated that this system helps minimize distribution errors and improve transparency. With integrated supervision, meal services in Madinah are expected to be more effective and reliable.
