Indonesia Launches Kawal Haji Application to Improve Hajj Services

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah launches the Kawal Haji application to improve pilgrim services. This digital platform enables pilgrims and officers to submit complaints quickly, directly, and in an integrated system.
The application is accessible through the official website kawal.haji.go.id using a browser. It allows users to report issues, monitor follow-ups, and provide feedback in a simple process.
This initiative reflects the Indonesian government’s commitment to improving Hajj service quality through digital innovation. It also strengthens transparency and responsiveness in handling complaints across service areas.
Head of Data and Information Technology Center, Farosa, said the platform supports real-time reporting with complete information. Reports can include location data, detailed descriptions, and supporting evidence from the field.
Users can submit complaints by selecting categories and writing clear descriptions of incidents. They can also upload up to five photos and accurately pinpoint locations on a map.
The system provides a search feature to explore incoming reports based on categories or parameters. Officers can filter reports by status, embarkation point, or flight group for better coordination.
The following is a statement from Head of Data and Information Technology Center Farosa. She explained the purpose of launching the Kawal Haji application.
“We introduced the Kawal Haji application as a transparent and responsive complaint mechanism. Both pilgrims and officers can directly report field incidents in real-time, complete with location data and supporting evidence,” she said.
The application also includes a complaint history feature to monitor report progress and responses. Users can track how their complaints are handled and ensure proper follow-up actions.
