RRI.CO.ID, New Delhi – Several Indonesian students who won awards at the Intel Global Competition Award 2025 showcased their projects at the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, India, held from 18-20 February 2026. Indonesia’s Vice Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria, took the time to speak with them on Friday, 20 February 2026, and express his appreciation.
"These young innovators have demonstrated extraordinary capabilities by presenting AI-based solutions that are relevant and innovative in addressing various national challenges,” the ministry said in a statement on Saturday, 21 February 2026.
The students were involved in two different projects, both of which utilize artificial intelligence (AI). One project focuses on agriculture, while the other centers on healthcare.
The first project is Agrify, an AI-based web platform developed by Muhammad Salman Al-Farisi and Muhammad Sultan Narulloh Telaumbanua to improve the productivity and welfare of small-scale farmers. The platform uses computer vision technology through its "plant doctor" feature to instantly diagnose plant diseases and provide a smart farming schedule that optimizes farming activities based on weather and market analysis.
The other project is SITANGGAP – Rapid Stroke Symptom Capture System, developed by Andre Nugraha and Nurissa’idah to accelerate public response to stroke symptoms. The system is an AI-based solution designed to detect stroke symptoms early by analyzing patients’ facial expressions and voice patterns using a camera and microphone, based on the NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).
“The remarkable achievements of our students in this international arena are clear evidence that Indonesia’s digital talent is globally competitive and capable of creating concrete solutions that benefit society,” Nezar said.
“The government will continue to support the innovation ecosystem so that inspiring projects like Agrify and SITANGGAP can continue to grow and have a broader impact,” he said.
