Indonesian Capital Market Opens Registration for Capital Market Run 2026

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – As part of a series of events commemorating the 49th anniversary of the reactivation of the Indonesian Capital Market, the Self-Regulatory Organizations (SROs), consisting of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the Indonesian Clearing and Guarantee Corporation (KPEI), and the Indonesian Central Depository (KSEI), are once again organizing a national-scale running competition.

Fully supported by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), this prestigious annual event is officially titled the Capital Market Run 2026.

This event will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2026, at the East Parking Lot of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta, in collaboration with the Indonesia Muda Road Runner (IMRR) as the race organizer. The Capital Market Run 2026 is an annual agenda of the Indonesian capital market that carries the spirit of environmental preservation through the theme "Plant Your Investment."

KSEI Director of Infrastructure Development and Information Management, who also serves as the Chairman of the 49th Anniversary Committee of the Indonesian Capital Market, Dharma Setyadi, officially announced the opening of early bird registration for the Capital Market Run 2026 in Jakarta on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Also present at today's press conference were representatives from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and others.

Dharma stated that the Capital Market Run was born from the spirit to bring the Indonesian capital market closer to the public while providing a platform for investors and the general public to embrace an active lifestyle through running. Furthermore, this year's Capital Market Run 2026 invites participants to invest in the capital market, personal health, and environmental conservation.

"Through this activity, we want to demonstrate the importance of comprehensive investment, which can provide significant benefits. Through this activity, we invite all participants to be part of the change for a better future for themselves and the environment," Dharma said.

Furthermore, henoted that the Capital Market Run 2026 also invites various capital market industry players to participate, such as listed companies, securities firms, and investment managers, to support capital market socialization during the event. The support and participation of capital market industry players can create opportunities for the Indonesian capital market to become more widely recognized by the public.

The Capital Market Run 2026 features two categories, namely 5K and 10K, with the start and finish points located at the East Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno. The route has been prepared to provide an enjoyable running experience amidst Jakarta's dynamic atmosphere for approximately 4,000 participants, a larger quota than the previous year.
