RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s hopes for additional podium finishes at the World Climbing Series Guiyang 2026 were dashed as both the men’s and women’s speed relay teams failed to advance beyond the knockout rounds on Sunday, September 13.
In the women’s relay, Raji’ah Sallsabillah and Berthdigna Devi Surya Kusuma recorded 16.50 seconds, falling to France’s Louise Fontaine and Capucine Viglione, who finished in 13.97 seconds.
The result ended Indonesia’s medal bid in the category. Gold went to China’s Jingyue Fan/Shaoqin Zhang (13.18s), silver to Spain’s Leslie Adriana Romero Perez/Carla Martinez Vidal (14.57s), and bronze to South Korea’s Jimin Jeong/Hanareum Sung (13.43s).
The men’s relay team of Raharjati Nursamsa and Antasyafi Robby Al Hilmi also bowed out in the round of 16, clocking 11.73 seconds against Canada’s Dylan Le/Ethan Pitcher, who edged them with 11.50 seconds.
China dominated the men’s relay final, with Yongzhi Ling/Yicheng Zhao and Zechuan Shi/Xu Li securing gold and silver, while Austria’s Kevin Amon/Lukas Windischer claimed bronze.

Despite the relay setbacks, Indonesia’s five‑member squad -- Raharjati, Robby, Raji’ah, Kadek Adi Asih, and Berthdigna Devi Surya -- still celebrated success in Guiyang. Robby clinched gold in the men’s individual speed, while Raharjati and Raji’ah captured gold in the mixed relay.
Looking ahead, Berthdigna Devi Surya Kusuma remains Indonesia’s sole representative in the women’s speed discipline at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi‑Nagoya, Japan (September 19–October 4), where she will team up with Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi to carry Indonesia’s hopes on the continental stage. ***
