RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) has unveiled new pairings in the mixed doubles sector, signaling a strategic reshuffle ahead of upcoming tournaments.
Among the changes, Dejan Ferdinansyah will now partner with Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu, while Bagas Maulana teams up with Apriyani Rahayu, and M. Nawaf Khoiriyansyah joins forces with Indah Cahya Sari Jamil.
“We are currently exploring the best format for mixed doubles. Several combinations, including Dejan/Felisha, Bagas/Apriyani, and Nawaf/Indah, will be tested,” said Indonesia’s mixed doubles coach Nova Widianto in a statement on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
Dejan, previously paired with Apriyani, will debut with Felisha -- formerly partnered with Jafar Hidayatullah -- at the Denmark Open 2026 from October 13–18. Apriyani, meanwhile, will compete with Bagas, who had been paired with Indah since August. Their first outing together came at the Indonesia International Challenge 2026 in late August.
Nawaf and Indah are scheduled to make their debut at the Malaysia Super 100 2026, also set for October 13–18.
The reshuffle reflects PBSI’s effort to strengthen Indonesia’s mixed doubles depth and test new combinations ahead of the busy international calendar. ***
