RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian tennis player Priska Nugroho continued her strong international campaign by advancing to the doubles semifinals of the Enka Open in Istanbul, Türkiye, after an impressive comeback victory with partner Vlada Panshina on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

The Indonesian-Russian duo defeated fourth-seeded Chinese pair Huang Yujia and Zhang Ying 6-7(2), 7-5, 12-10 in a thrilling quarterfinal that lasted 2 hours and 13 minutes on the hard courts, according to the WTA.

The opening set remained evenly contested, with both pairs holding serve until 6-6, Antara reported. Huang and Zhang then dominated the tiebreak 7-2 to take the first set.

Priska and Panshina responded strongly in the second set by increasing pressure. After another closely fought battle featuring multiple service breaks, they capitalized on key moments late in the set to win 7-5 and force a deciding super tiebreak.

The decisive match tiebreak proved equally dramatic. Trailing 9-10 and facing match point, Priska and Panshina held their nerve, winning three consecutive points to seal a 12-10 victory and secure their place in the final four.

Statistics reflected the narrow contest. Priska and Panshina fired three aces, compared with two by Huang and Zhang, and converted four of seven break-point opportunities (57.1 percent), while their opponents converted three of eight (37.5 percent).

Overall, the Indonesian-Russian pair won 84 of the 167 total points, edging Huang and Zhang by a single point.

In the semifinals, Priska and Panshina will face Tatiana Prozorova and Alexandra Shubladze, who advanced after second seeds Lucie Havlickova and Gabriela Knutson withdrew from their quarterfinal match.

Earlier in the tournament, Priska also competed in the singles draw but was eliminated in the first round of the WTA 125 main draw after progressing through qualifying. ***
