RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - PB Jaya Raya strengthened its representation in the Yonex-Sunrise Jaya Raya Junior International Grand Prix 2026, advancing three more players to the round of 16 after convincing wins in Bintaro, South Tangerang, on Thursday, July 9.

Arven Naufal Renaldi, seeded 11th in the U-17 boys’ singles, joined teammate Alvin Jefferson Kusuma in the next round after defeating fellow club player Muhammad Faiz Musgamy 21-12, 22-20.

“I felt more confident since I was facing a teammate,” Arven said, as quoted by Antara, adding that last year’s quarterfinal exit motivates him to aim higher this time.

In the U-19 girls’ singles, Miftaqul Putri Ayudis secured her place by beating Ratifah Badriah 21-18, 21-16. Despite the straight-game victory, she admitted lapses in focus.

“I wanted to finish quickly and lost patience. I need to stay calmer,” she reflected, noting the tougher competition in her age group.

Zamraliani Afianto also progressed in the U-17 girls’ singles, overcoming Aisyah Anindya Rubiyanto 21-14, 21-17. She acknowledged nerves when facing a fellow Indonesian but credited composure for her win.

“I can’t rush; I have to be more patient,” she said, adding that recovery and preparation are her priorities for the next match.

With these results, PB Jaya Raya continues to build momentum in the prestigious junior event, aiming to surpass last year’s achievements across multiple categories.
