The achievement received praise from Indonesian Wushu Association (WI) Secretary General Ngatino.
"WI appreciates the Indonesian national wushu team's success in winning one gold, four silver, and one bronze medal," Ngatino said in a written statement on Thursday, July 9, 2026.

Ngatino explained that the Taolu World Cup 2026 serves as part of Indonesia's preparations for the 2026 Asian Games. "The results from the 2026 World Cup will be used to evaluate the strength of our future opponents," he said.
"We hope Indonesia's wushu athletes can maintain the country's tradition of winning gold medals at the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya," Ngatino added.
WI hopes the tournament results will strengthen the athletes' readiness ahead of the Asian Games. National team coach Susyana Tjan described the team's performance as encouraging, noting that Indonesian athletes competed against the world's elite ranked competitors.
"This is a very good result, especially since our athletes competed against the best athletes from each country. Those participating in the 2026 World Cup were the top eight finishers from the 2025 World Cup in Brazil," Susyana said. (Diffa Sephiawardhani)
