RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian women's pole vaulter, Diva Renatta Jayadi is targeting a national record and a gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games. Motivation from President Prabowo Subianto has further strengthened Diva's determination, particularly in preparing her mental and psychological readiness for Asia's biggest multi-sport event.

She said the President's encouragement during a meeting with Indonesian athletes at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, gave the athletes additional motivation to perform at their best.

“Mr. Prabowo's motivation really boosted our spirit as athletes to compete wholeheartedly, give our best effort, and achieve the best results we can,” Diva said.

Diva also expressed her ambition to win the 3 billion rupiah bonus prepared by the government for gold medalists. She said the incentive has provided additional motivation as she prepares for the 2026 Asian Games.

“My personal target, God willing, is to break the national record and, hopefully, win the gold medal,” she stated.

Indonesia's athletics team for the 2026 Asian Games consists of 12 athletes, including six women and six men, accompanied by seven coaches. Diva said the selected athletes have strong competitive records, including SEA Games appearances, national records, and gold medals.

Diva hopes her efforts with the Indonesian athletics team will produce the best possible results and bring pride to her family and the people of Indonesia. She also hopes the athletes can deliver their best performances at the 2026 Asian Games.
