RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia will look to reinforce its position as a global Free Fire powerhouse when RRQ Kazu, EVOS Divine, and Team Vitality compete at the Esports World Cup (EWC) Free Fire 2026 in Paris, France, from July 15-18, 2026.

Strong performances could further strengthen Indonesia's standing in international esports while securing valuable experience and a pathway to the season-ending world championship.

According to Garena Indonesia on Tuesday, July 7, the three Indonesian representatives will face 21 other elite teams from around the world for a share of the tournament's USD 1 million prize Pool, Antara reported.

Beyond the prize money, Indonesia's teams are aiming to defend the country's dominance in global Free Fire competition.

At the EWC Free Fire 2025, Indonesia achieved a historic clean sweep of the podium. EVOS Divine claimed the world title, RRQ Kazu finished runner-up, while Bigetron by Vitality, now competing as Team Vitality, secured third place.

Their return to this year's tournament gives Indonesia another opportunity to retain the championship and extend its successful run on the international esports stage.

The competition is expected to be tougher in 2026, with the number of participating teams increasing from 18 to 24. New competitive regions, including the United States, Nepal, Africa, and India, have joined the Free Fire ecosystem, making the race for the title more competitive.

In the Group Stage, EVOS Divine will compete in Group A alongside Thailand's AG.AL and Buriram United Esports, Myanmar's Aurora Gaming, and Brazil's LOUD, among others.

RRQ Kazu and Team Vitality have been drawn into Group B, where they will face teams including Saudi Arabia's Al Ahli Esports, Brazil's Fluxo W7M, Vietnam's Team Secret, and India's S8UL Esports.

The tournament consists of three phases: the Group Stage, Survival Stage, and Grand Finals. During the Group Stage on July 15-16, the top four teams from each group will qualify directly for the Grand Finals.

Teams finishing fifth to tenth in each group will advance to the Survival Stage on July 17, where only four additional teams will earn places in the Grand Finals.

The Grand Finals will feature 12 teams competing under the Champion Rush format to determine the 2026 world champion.

In addition to the championship title, the winning team will receive an automatic berth at the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2026, scheduled to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, in November. ***
