RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s national sport climbing team has set an ambitious goal of winning at least one gold medal at the World Climbing Series Krakow 2026, organized by the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) in Poland from July 3–5. The team has prepared intensively, focusing on speed relay events for men, women, and mixed categories.

Assistant coach Fitriyani explained that the squad consists of seven athletes, four men and three women. The men’s team includes Veddriq Leonardo, Raharjati Nursamsa, Aditya Tri Syahria, and Antasyafi Robby Al Hilmi, while the women’s team features Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi, Raji’ah Sallsabillah, and Kadek Adi Asih.

The Krakow series will exclusively feature speed disciplines, with competitions in men’s speed, women’s speed, men’s relay, women’s relay, and mixed relay. Indonesia will compete in all categories, with Fitriyani noting that the competition is expected to be particularly tight against athletes from Poland, the United States, and China.

She emphasized that the athletes have undergone special training sessions at the national camp and are now fully conditioned. “The athletes are healthy and in good form. They have rested well after arriving in Krakow and are ready for the qualification rounds,” Fitriyani said, as quoted by Antara, on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Since arriving in Krakow, the team has focused on conditioning and recovery after the long journey. Fitriyani confirmed that all athletes are in good health and prepared to perform at their best in the upcoming matches.

Indonesia’s preparation reflects its determination to secure podium finishes and strengthen its reputation in the global climbing arena. The team hopes that discipline, conditioning, and teamwork will translate into success on the international stage. ***
