RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - As the grass-court season gains momentum in Europe, Indonesian tennis is stepping into the spotlight with Janice Tjen and Aldila Sutjiadi entering the WTA 250 Libema Open 2026 in ’s-Hertogenbosch as seeded contenders in both singles and doubles competition.

Janice, seeded seventh in the WTA 250 event, is set to face Belgium’s Greet Minnen in the first round scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, at 3 p.m. Jakarta time.

The Jakarta-born player currently sits at world No. 40 after exiting in the second round of last week’s Birmingham Open, which marked her opening tournament of the grass-court season.

She arrived in Birmingham following a difficult end to the clay-court swing, where she suffered first-round defeats in both singles and doubles, Antara reported.

However, the 24-year-old rebounded with a title in the doubles event at the WTA 125 Birmingham tournament, partnering Australia’s Talia Gibson. In singles, she secured one win before being eliminated in Birmingham, but found greater success in doubles with the championship victory.

At the Libema Open in ’s-Hertogenbosch, Janice will meet Minnen, ranked world No. 202, who advanced into the main draw through qualifying. In doubles, Janice is also aiming to replicate her recent success alongside Aldila Sutjiadi.

The second-seeded pair of Aldila/Janice will face the Dutch-British duo Isabelle Haverlag/Maia Lumsden in the opening round.

Aldila is currently ranked world No. 45 in doubles, while Janice sits at No. 42. Their first-round match is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, at around 5 p.m. Jakarta time, following Janice’s singles match. ***
