After dropping the opening set 13–25, Indonesia bounced back with determination in the second, Antara reported. In a tense battle, they edged out the Philippines 25–23 to level the score.

Captain Mediol Stiovanny Yoku and her teammates briefly seized momentum in the third set, but errors in service and attack allowed the Philippines to regain control and close it 25–19.

The fourth set became the highlight of the match, with Indonesia pushing the game into a marathon deuce. Both sides exchanged points in a dramatic contest that stretched to eight extended plays. Indonesia had several chances to seal the set, but the Philippines held firm and eventually prevailed 33–31, securing the 3–1 victory.
