RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesia U-18 women’s basketball team will face Thailand in the FIBA U-18 Women’s Asia Cup SEABA Qualifiers 2026, with the semifinal match scheduled for Friday, June 5, at the STI Negros University Gym in Bacolod, Philippines.

Head coach Amin Prihantono has urged his players to maintain discipline on both offense and defense, while also staying alert to Thailand’s strength in offensive rebounds.

“We approach every game with the same focus, whether on defense or offense. We must anticipate Thailand’s offensive rebounds because they maximize second-chance opportunities,” Amin said.

Indonesia enters the semifinal on the back of two victories. In the opening game, they defeated Singapore 66–49, followed by a dominant 81–32 win over Vietnam.

“We improved both our offense and defense after evaluating the Singapore game. We refined our full-court press and organized our offense better,” Amin explained.

The adjustments paid off, with the team showing significant progress against Vietnam. “Our performance improved in the second game compared to the first. We hope to keep building on that progress in the next match,” he added. (Diva Rifdah)
