RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian athletes competing at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, will have greater access to Indonesian audiences through a collaboration among official broadcasters, allowing the public to follow their journey both in and beyond competition.
Chef de Mission (CdM) Team Indonesia welcomed the Asian Games broadcast collaboration as a positive step to expand public access to the Indonesian contingent during the 2026 Asian Games.
Deputy 3 of CdM Team Indonesia Anggy Pasaribu said the collaboration would have many positive impacts.
"For us at the Chef de Mission team, this official broadcast collaboration, involving TVRI, RANS, and the Emtek family, is an integral part of supporting the athletes' journey," Anggi said on Friday, September 4, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
"The athletes may be competing in Aichi-Nagoya, but emotionally they can feel close to the people of Indonesia," Anggy added,
The latest collaboration involves RANS Entertainment and national television TVRI, with support from Emtek Media through Vidio and Nex. The partnership is considered important in bringing the athletes' efforts at the 2026 Asian Games closer to Indonesian audiences.
"We cannot only watch them win medals but also see them when they are struggling behind the arena, because that is where we can see an athlete's journey in its entirety," he said.
President Director of LPP TVRI Tubagus Fiki Chikara Satari said the cooperation was an effort to ensure Indonesian athletes receive support from the public. "TVRI was invited by RANS to broadcast Asian Games matches," Fiki said.
Chief Operating Officer of RANS Entertainment Nagita Slavina said the company's involvement in the Asian Games was a source of pride as well as support for Indonesian athletes.
"It is a great honor to be part of the journey of Indonesian athletes. We believe the efforts of Indonesian athletes must be strongly supported, backed and watched by all Indonesians," Nagita said.
Head of Sports at Emtek Media and CEO of NEX Hendy Lim emphasized that sports are not merely entertainment but are also connected to national identity and pride. He said Emtek wants to ensure that the public can witness the journey of Indonesian athletes.
"Being an official broadcaster of the 2026 Asian Games is both an honor and a concrete expression of Vidio's commitment to supporting the advancement of Indonesian sports," he said.
The 2026 Asian Games will take place from September 19 to October 4, with Indonesia sending 432 athletes across various sports and targeting four gold medals. ***
