RRI.CO.ID, Depok - Indonesia’s drifting scene welcomed a new generation of talent as 13-year-old twins Alby Alvaro and Athariz Fairell officially stepped up to the PRO AM class during the second round of the National Passion Drift Championship 2026 at Husein Sastranegara Circuit, Bandung.
Guided by professional drifter Reindy “BTX” Riupassa, the pair impressed fans and fellow competitors with their ability to control high-powered drift machines at such a young age.
“I believe they will become drifters who bring pride to Indonesia in the future,” Coach Reindy said on Wednesday, May 27, as quoted by Antara.
Alby, driving a BMW E90 with an M54B30 engine prepared by BTX Concept and Kendali Racing Team, delivered an aggressive yet precise performance that earned him the Top Qualifier PRO AM title and a fifth-place finish overall.
Athariz, behind the wheel of a BMW F22 powered by an LS3 engine tuned by P5 Tuning and supported by BRIDE IDN and GT Radial, dominated the competition to claim first place in the PRO AM class.
Despite their age, both drivers showcased remarkable technique, courage, and control, making their cars dance across the Bandung track like seasoned professionals. Their achievements signal a promising future for Indonesian motorsport, proving that the regeneration of drifting talent is well underway. ***
