RRI.CO.ID, Rabat - Aldila Sutjiadi and Vera Zvonareva advanced to the women’s doubles final at the Morocco Open 2026. The Indonesian-Russian duo rallied from behind in their semifinal clash at Club des Cheminots on Thursday, May 21.

The top-seeded pair defeated Slovenia’s Nika Radisic and Poland’s Katarzyna Piter in a hard-fought three-set battle, closing out the match 4-6, 6-2, 10-6.

Aldila and Vera dropped the opening set 4-6 but quickly regained momentum, leveling the score with a commanding 6–2 win in the second.

According to WTA data, the duo landed 71 percent of their first serves, though their opponents proved more efficient in returns and committed fewer double faults.

By the second set, Aldila and Vera had taken control, winning 80 percent of points on both first and second serves. They converted two of five break-point chances and captured six of the eight games played in the set.

The match was ultimately decided in a super tie-break. Aldila and Vera were flawless on first serves, while Radisic and Piter fought back with effective second serves. Still, the Indonesian-Russian pair held firm with solid returns and consistent serving.

After one hour and 35 minutes of play, Aldila and Vera sealed the victory. They will now face Magali Kempen and Eudice Chong in the championship match. (Diffa Sephiawardhani)
