RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia is strengthening its men’s national volleyball team after the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI) called up Rama Fazza Fauzan and Alfin Daniel Pratama for the national training camp ahead of two major international tournaments in 2026.
“Two additional names have officially joined to strengthen the Indonesian Men’s National Volleyball Team squad, namely Daniel Pratama and Fazza Fauzan,” PBVSI said in a statement released in Jakarta on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
Rama Fazza Fauzan, a 23-year-old opposite hitter from Surabaya Samator, played a key role in helping his club secure third place in the 2026 Proliga season.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old setter Alfin Daniel Pratama is a core player for Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi, the club owned by the Indonesian National Police institution that recently made history as the first Indonesian team to win the 2026 AVC Men’s Champions League.
The inclusion of the two young players is expected to further strengthen Indonesia’s squad for the 2026 AVC Nations Cup in India from June 20-28 and the 2026 SEA V League scheduled for July 15-26.
Indonesia’s men’s national team will be led by new Brazilian head coach Sergio Veloso, who is set to begin the national training camp at the General Kunarto Volleyball Center in Sentul on May 21.
Previously, PBVSI had announced an initial list of 16 players for the training camp. With the addition of Rama and Alfin, a total of 18 players are now preparing to compete on the international stage.
Several experienced players already included in the squad are Rivan Nurmulki, Hendra Kurniawan, Boy Arnez, and Nizar Julfikar.
PBVSI is also giving opportunities to three debutants to experience the senior national team environment: Fauzan Nibras, Putra Bagus Hidayatullah, and Raihan Rizky Attorif. ***
