Indonesian Racer Ramadhipa Wins 1st Place in Race 2 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup 2026

RRI.CO.ID, Jerez – Young Indonesian racer Kiandra Ramadhipa successfully brought the Indonesian national anthem to the international stage at the 2026 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. Following a brilliant performance in Race 2, Ramadhipa finished in first place.

Kiandra Ramadhipa, redeemed himself after finishing seventh in Race 1. Starting from 17th position in Race 2, the rider from Yogyakarta surged ahead to win with a total time of around 25 minutes.

The 16-year-old racer secured victory at the final corner of the Jerez Circuit in Spain on Sunday, April 26, 2026. After the race, Ramadhipa expressed his pride following a series of dramatic overtakes.

“Yeah, this race is so incredible for me. I feel so strong in this race. I fought back from P17 on the grid. And I tried to manage the tyre also. I tried to go forward every lap,” he said.

Ramadhipa then explained the strategy he used. He admitted he remained calm even though his position had dropped temporarily.

The young racer stated, “And in five laps to go, I managed to be in the front. And then in three laps to go, I a little bit dropped back position. But I tried to calm myself. And, yeah, I tried to go forward. And in the last lap, very good momentum for me. And I can stay in the top three. And then in the last corner, I tried to keep my line inside. And I tried to make a good acceleration.”

In conclusion, he thanked his sponsors, his family, and the Indonesian people for their support. “Thank you to all my sponsors. Thank you to my family. Dad, this is for you. Thank you for all the Indonesian people to always support me,” Ramadhipa said.

In this race, 17-year-old Yaroslav Karpushin from Kyrgyzstan took a superb second place, finishing just ahead of 15-year-old Mateo Marulanda from Colombia. The Rookies Cup competition will continue at the Le Mans Circuit in France on May 9–10, 2026.
