The Indonesian team, featuring SEA Games 2025 gold medalists Janice Tjen, Aldila Sutjiadi, Priska Nugroho, Anjali Junarto, and Meydiana Reinnamah, with Christopher Rungkat as captain, secured the tie through the two singles matches.

Priska Nugroho gave Indonesia an early lead after defeating Aishi Das 6-4, 6-1 in the opening singles match. The 22-year-old relied on strong serving, including two aces, and won 69 percent of points on her first serve. Janice Tjen then sealed the victory by beating Monique Barry 6-3, 6-1 in the second singles match, ensuring a 2-0 lead for Indonesia.

The match was competitive early in the first set before Janice broke away from 3-3 by winning three consecutive games. Ranked world No. 41, she delivered an impressive performance, winning 96 percent of points on her first serve and conceding just one game in the second set.

The doubles match featuring Aldila Sutjiadi and Anjali Junarto against Monique Barry and Valentina Ivanov was later suspended at 1-1 in the first set.

Indonesia are competing alongside New Zealand, Thailand, South Korea, Mongolia, and hosts India in the Group I Asia/Oceania event. The top two teams will advance to the playoff qualifiers in November, while the bottom two will be relegated to Group II in 2027.
