RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian rider Mario Suryo Aji finally opened his points tally in the 2026 Moto2 World Championship after finishing 13th at the Brazilian Grand Prix, held at the Ayrton Senna Circuit in Goiania on Sunday, March 22.

The result earned him three points -- his first of the season -- following a disappointing start in Thailand where he failed to finish.

Representing Idemitsu Honda Team Asia, the rider -- nicknamed Super Mario -- crossed the line 18.932 seconds behind race winner Daniel Holgado of CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team, Antara reported.

Mario began the race from ninth on the grid but was unable to hold his position, slipping out of the top 10 before settling for 13th at the checkered flag.

At the front, Holgado dominated from the opening laps, though late pressure came from Daniel Munoz and Manuel Gonzalez.

The closing stages saw intense exchanges, but Holgado held firm to secure victory in 35 minutes 46.38 seconds. Munoz finished second, 1.226 seconds adrift, while Gonzalez claimed third, 3.916 seconds behind.
