Aldila Sutjiadi, Ingrid Neel Secure Miami Open 2026 Second Round Spot

RRI.CO.ID, Florida - Indonesian women’s tennis player Aldila Sutjiadi and her partner Ingrid Neel, an American-Estonian professional, advanced to the second round of the 2026 Miami Open after a three-set battle.

The pair defeated host players Hailey Baptista and Peyton Stearns 6-2, 6-7, 10-6 on Court 3 at Hard Rock Stadium, Florida, early Sunday morning Jakarta time, according to Antara.

Aldila and Neel dominated the first set, recording one ace and converting all three of their break point opportunities to secure a convincing lead.

Baptista and Stearns fought back in the second set, producing one ace, converting 50 percent of their break points, and winning 73 percent of points on their first serve. The set went to a tie-break, which the American duo closed 7-4.

In the deciding super tie-break, Aldila and Neel regained control, winning 100 percent of points on their first serve and 50 percent on their second serve. They sealed the victory 10-6 after one hour and 43 minutes of play.

In the next round of the WTA 1000 tournament, Aldila and Neel will face the winner of the match between seventh-seeded Cristina Bucsa/Nicole Melichar and Sofia Kenin/Ludmila Samsonova.
