RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian national motorcycle championship Mandalika Racing Series will return for its fourth edition in 2026 with five rounds scheduled at the Mandalika Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, aiming to nurture riders capable of competing on the international stage. The 2026 season will begin with its first round on April 24-26 at the Mandalika Circuit and continue through November.

Chairman of Pride in Motorsport Eddy Saputra said the championship is designed as a pathway for Indonesian riders to reach global competitions. “This effort is part of our commitment to make the Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series the main gateway for Indonesian riders to reach international championships,” he said during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, March 11, as quoted by Antara.

Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) Director Priandhi Satria said the series has already produced riders who have moved up to international levels, including Veda Ega Pratama, who graduated from the competition and has now progressed to Moto3.

“This achievement is supported by the strong organization of the event, from the competition itself to the way it is presented to attract public interest. We hope this year’s event will run successfully and attract more stakeholders, including sponsors, to support its implementation,” Priandhi said.

The championship will feature four main classes: National Junior Sport 150 U-15, National Sport 150, National Sport 250, and National Supersport 250. Two additional classes -- Underbone 150 and Junior Sport U-18 -- will also be contested.
