RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s campaign at the All England Open Badminton Championships 2026 combines debut ambitions with early momentum as players sharpen preparations in Birmingham.
Mixed doubles pair Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah are set to make their first appearance at the prestigious Super 1000 tournament, scheduled for March 3–8 at the Utilita Arena. Following their first training session at the National Badminton Centre, Amri emphasized the importance of recovery after a long journey.
“Today was about regaining our condition - stretching, light drills, and then moving into on-court sessions,” Amri said on Thursday, February 26, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
Nita added that varied exercises, including game simulations and tactical drills, were designed to sharpen their touch and reinforce strategies suited to the fast pace of elite competition.
Despite being debutants, the duo expressed confidence in their preparation and are now focused on refining tactics ahead of their opening match against Germany’s Marvin Seidel/Nguyen Thuc Phuong.
Meanwhile, women’s doubles pair Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti advanced after defeating a Danish duo. They credited their win to a mid-match adjustment, shifting strategy in the second game when their opponents altered the tempo.

“We were briefly drawn into their rhythm but adjusted and returned to our pattern,” Amallia said on Thursday, February 26, as quoted on Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) official website.
Fadia noted wind conditions on court required quick communication and composure. With ranking points at stake, she emphasized the importance of staying focused as they prepare for their round-of-16 clash against Hsu Yin-Hui/Lin Jhih-Yun. ***
