RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - An all-Indonesian revenge showdown awaits in the men’s singles semifinal of the Thailand Masters 2026, as two Indonesian shuttlers, Alwi Farhan and Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah, face off for a place in the final at Nimibutr Stadium, Bangkok, on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah secured his semifinal berth after defeating Canada’s Brian Yang in a hard-fought three-game battle, 16–21, 21–18, 21–15. The victory set up a clash with Alwi, with whom he shares a competitive history. Known affectionately as Ubed, Zaki expressed his determination to avenge a previous loss.

“Alhamdulillah, I was able to play well without injury. Now I must stay focused, keep my mind sharp, and recover properly. Meeting Alwi again, I want to avenge my earlier defeat,” Ubed said.

His opponent, Alwi Farhan, also advanced to the semifinal after overcoming Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia. The Malaysian was forced to retire in the third game, following two tightly contested sets that ended 10–21, 21–15.

“Facing Ubed in the semifinal, we will both give our best and show the world the strength of Indonesian men’s singles. To the people of Indonesia, please continue to support me and the rest of the team so we can win as many titles as possible,” Alwi stated.
