RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The spotlight of Asian women’s golf will fall on Indonesia as the Indonesia Women’s Open, presented by BTN, takes place from January 30 to February 1, 2026 at the Damai Indah Golf–Bumi Serpong Damai Course in Tangerang.

Organized by the Asian Golf Leaders Forum (AGLF), the tournament will feature 120 golfers from across the Asia-Pacific region, marking a major highlight in the regional golf calendar.

Recognized by the Indonesian Golf Association (PGI) and the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA), the event promises top-level competition among female golfers who have already made their mark on the international stage.

Among the headline names are Yuna Araki of Japan, Jihyo Jung of Korea, Jaravee Boonchant of Thailand, Thaila Martin of England, and Natasha Oon of Malaysia, all of whom have competed internationally and achieved notable world rankings during their careers.

As host nation, Indonesia will field 29 players, comprising 13 professionals and 16 amateurs, eager to showcase their talent against some of the region’s best.

World No. 56 Yuna Araki, winner of the 2024 Toto Japan Classic, expressed her excitement at making her debut in Indonesia. “It is an honor for me to compete here,” she said during a press conference at BSD Course on Thursday, January 29, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

Araki added that she is determined to chase victory, aiming to secure her first international title at the event.

Meanwhile, Korea’s Jihyo Jung, ranked 270th in the world, acknowledged the challenge of competing against such a strong field. “It won’t be easy with so many great players here, but I am optimistic I can deliver a strong performance, just as I did last season,” she remarked.

The Indonesia Women’s Open also serves as the opening tournament of the 2026 Asia Pacific Circuit (APAC Circuit), following the Taiwan Mobile Ladies Open held in December 2025.

This second edition in Indonesia will feature elite players from the KLPGA Dream Tour and top representatives from more than 12 Asia-Pacific countries, underscoring the growing prestige of the series.

With international stars, rising local talents, and a stage set at one of Indonesia’s premier courses, the Indonesia Women’s Open is poised to deliver a showcase of women’s golf at the start of the 2026 season. ***
