RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesia Women’s Open (IWO) 2026 is ready to commence at Damai Indah Golf Club, Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD), South Tangerang, from January 30 to February 1, featuring J Trust Bank as the official sponsor for this second year.
This collaborative effort was launched to strengthen the domestic women’s golf ecosystem and provide female players with a professional competitive stage.
Through this high-profile partnership, the organizers and sponsors aim to create a sustainable environment for female athletes to thrive, marking a significant milestone for women’s professional sports in Indonesia.
“J Trust Bank is dedicated to supporting the growth of women’s golf and its athletes, both domestically and internationally," J Trust Bank President Director Ritsuo Fukadai said in an official release on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
"We believe that sports are an excellent platform for nurturing young talent, ensuring equal opportunities for female golfers to excel, and inspiring future generations globally,” Fukadai added.
The tournament will feature Japanese golfer Aihi Takano, a J Trust Bank-mentored athlete since March 2024, who is now a top-seeded contestant. Aihi recently gained global attention after her maiden victory at the 2025 Yonex Ladies Golf in Nagaoka, Japan, where she made history as the youngest winner in the tournament's records.
Organized under the Asian Golf Leaders Forum (AGLF), the Indonesia Women’s Open 2026 will host over 120 female golfers from 12 countries across the Asia-Pacific region. These elite athletes will converge at the BSD course to compete in a showcase of high-level international skill and strategy.
“We are delighted to return with our support for the Indonesia Women’s Open. It is an honor for us to witness these athletes demonstrate the focus, strategy, discipline, and sportsmanship required to compete on a global stage,” Fukadai explained.
In its second year, the competition offers a total prize pool of USD 600,000. This prize fund represents a 100 percent increase compared to the total winnings offered during the inaugural edition.
With such a substantial purse, the Indonesia Women’s Open 2026 has officially become the highest-paying professional women’s golf tournament in the Asia-Pacific region. This milestone cements the event's prestige and its role in elevating the status of women’s professional sports. ***
