RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Prominent MotoGP riders from the VR46 Riders Academy have landed in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) to lead an intensive coaching clinic scheduled for January 27–30, 2026. 

As part of a landmark agreement between Pertamina Enduro and the VR46 academy, this program serves as a foundational step for Indonesian motorsport development. 

The project was initiated to prepare Indonesian riders for global competition by utilizing the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit as a center for continuous learning and professional mentorship. The program features prominent stars from the premier class of motorcycle racing. 

"This activity is attended by MotoGP riders who are members of the VR46 Riders Academy," stated Priandhi Satria, the President Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), Priandhi Satria, said in Central Lombok on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

The star-studded lineup includes Franco Morbidelli, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Luca Marini, and multi-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia. Other notable participants include Marco Bezzecchi, Celestino Vietti, Andrea Migno, and Matteo Gabarrini.

Priandhi emphasized that this partnership is a critical component of the circuit's long-term strategy. "The presence of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Riders Academy program at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit is in line with the vision of Mandalika as a center for national motorsport development with world standards," he noted.

The circuit was designed to serve as more than just a venue for annual international races. According to Priandhi, Mandalika is a space for continuous learning and development for young Indonesian athletes.

The collaboration illustrates how a complete racing ecosystem can be built by integrating riders, mechanics, and professional mentalities. "We at MGPA strongly support programs that provide direct access for young Indonesian talents to learn from the best world standards," Priandhi affirmed.

Looking ahead, the MGPA plans to expand the use of the facility for various educational and coaching purposes. The goal is to maximize the track's utility beyond the official MotoGP calendar.

"The more often Mandalika is used for training, coaching clinics, and international academy programs, the greater the chance of producing Indonesian riders who are ready to compete at a global level," Priandhi added. 

This initiative represents the enduring legacy that the organizers hope to establish for Indonesian motorsport. "This is the long-term legacy we want to build from Mandalika," he concluded. ***
