KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesia’s equestrian sector has grown significantly in recent years, supported by stakeholders and initiatives from the Indonesian Equestrian Association (Pordasi). The latest awards ceremony underscored how the sport's ecosystem is becoming increasingly dynamic.

Pordasi Chairman Aryo Djojohadikusumo reaffirmed the federation’s commitment to building a strong and sustainable foundation for equestrian sports in Indonesia. He said this progress reflects the organization’s long-term vision to expand the national equestrian industry.

“The 2026 Indonesia Rising Stars Award, organized by Sarga.Co, is clear evidence that the equestrian industry ecosystem continues to grow because it involves many stakeholders,” Aryo said after the ceremony at Glasshouse, Jakarta, on Thursday, January 15, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

He added that the event also provided a platform to recognize athletes, coaches, and supporters.

Aryo stressed that the award is not only a form of appreciation but also a catalyst for attracting broader public interest in equestrian sports. He noted that cross-sector collaboration makes such initiatives more impactful in the long run.

He emphasized that the development of equestrian sports cannot rely solely on athletes’ achievements. The supporting chain, including human resources, coaches, and related industries, must also advance together.

Looking ahead, Pordasi envisions Indonesian equestrian sports becoming more global by increasing the number of athletes, coaches, horse owners, and sponsors, and by increasing participation in international competitions.

Aryo expressed optimism that consistent efforts will elevate the sport’s profile on the world stage.

The federation continues to strengthen collaboration with promoters, sponsors, and communities to expand the reach of equestrian sports in Indonesia. Aryo said that intensive cooperation over the past two years has already produced significant results for the growth of the national equestrian industry.

Pordasi hopes that synergy among the federation, promoters, sponsors, and communities will continue to expand the sport’s base in Indonesia. With a more mature ecosystem, the federation is confident that equestrian sports will flourish nationally and contribute more prominently internationally. ***
