Megawati was born on September 20, 1999, in Jember, East Java. Megawati has been playing volleyball since she was 14 years old.

The 15-year-old girl started her career by joining the Surabaya Bank Jatim squad in the 2015 Main Division Livoli. In the Proliga event, Megawati strengthened Jakarta Pertamina Fastron from the 2015 to 2017 season.

Megawati returned to defend Jakarta Pertamina Fastron in the 2022 season. Megawati played for Jakarta BNI 46 in the 2018 season.
