RRI.CO.ID, Sumedang – The Ministry of Creative Economy (Ekraf) continues to support Sumedang in enhancing community-based, intergenerational competencies within the region. Through the Ministry’s Human Resources Development Center (Pusbang SDM), a capacity-building event titled “Sumedang Go Digital” was held at the Sumedang Creative Center (SCC), attended by over 150 creative economy practitioners and content creators from 26 districts across Sumedang Regency.
“Regions with significant creative economy potential are those possessing strong cultural and historical roots. When culture serves as the foundation—integrated with downstream innovation, technology, and creativity—the creative economy emerges. We are confident that Sumedang offers an environment highly conducive to community-based creative talent, thanks to its unique strengths,” Minister of Creative Economy,Teuku Riefky Harsya, said at the SCC, Sumedang Regency, on Tuesday, August 4 2026.
The Minister emphasized that digital transformation must be leveraged as a tool to enhance human resource quality, expand market access, and strengthen regional creative ecosystems.
According to him, digitalization goes beyond merely marketing products via social media or e-commerce platforms; it serves as a means to drive innovation, foster collaboration, protect intellectual property, and optimize technology utilization across the 21 creative economy sub-sectors.
"West Java is a priority province for strategic creative economy development. The potential of the Sumedang region is truly extraordinary, evidenced by the spirit and enthusiasm of the creative economy practitioners present since early morning, as well as their united drive to progress together. Therefore, the Ministry of Creative Economy will continue to collaborate so that Sumedang’s creative economy not only flourishes at the national level but also gains a global footprint," the Minister stated.
According to a release received by RRI Voice of Indonesia on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the event focused on capacity building for Sumedang’s creative economy workforce and serving as a creative hub activation initiative was also attended by the Deputy Regent of Sumedang, M.
