RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) continues to strengthen the management of Hajj funds through transparent, accountable, and Sharia-compliant governance.
These efforts were recognized when BPKH received an unqualified opinion (WTP) from the Indonesian Audit Board (BPK) for the 2025 consolidated financial statements of BPKH and its subsidiaries.
This marks the eighth consecutive year BPKH has received a WTP opinion since it began operations in 2017, underscoring its commitment to accountability and reinforcing public trust.
An unqualified opinion is the highest assessment issued by the audit board on an institution’s financial statements.
To obtain it, reports must meet four criteria: compliance with Government Accounting Standards or applicable accounting standards, support from an effective internal control system, adherence to statutory regulations, and sufficient audit evidence to fairly present financial information in all material respects.
BPKH Executive Agency Head Fadlul Imansyah said the achievement reflects more than administrative success. “Consistently achieving unqualified opinions is evidence that BPKH continues to build professional, transparent, and accountable governance,” he said in Jakarta on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
According to BPK, BPKH’s financial reports meet all material accounting standards, are supported by adequate internal controls, comply with relevant laws, and provide sufficient audit evidence. This indicates that Hajj fund management is carried out with good governance and accountability to the public.
BPKH also strengthened governance and optimized fund management through prudent investment strategies. The balance of managed funds rose to IDR 180.74 trillion in 2025, a 5.30 percent increase from the previous year. Investment benefits grew to IDR 12.05 trillion, up 4.42 percent from 2024, despite global market volatility.
“Public trust is our primary asset, which we maintain through safe, productive, and Sharia-compliant Hajj fund management,” Fadlul said.
Executive Board member Amri Yusuf added that the growth in managed funds reflects stronger public confidence in BPKH. “We manage every deposited fund safely, optimally, and sustainably. Prudence is the foundation of our investment strategy, ensuring benefits without compromising the security of pilgrims’ funds,” he said.
He emphasized that BPKH’s investment strategy balances returns with Sharia principles, fund security, liquidity, and sustainability, so benefits can be felt by current and future pilgrims.
The benefits generated from Hajj fund management support the organization of the pilgrimage, reduce costs borne by pilgrims, and are distributed through welfare programs in education, health, the economy, socio-religious affairs, worship facilities, and disaster relief.
This reflects BPKH’s commitment to ensuring that Hajj funds are managed safely while providing optimal benefits to pilgrims and the wider community. ***
