RRI.CO.ID, Bekasi – Indonesia's Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, emphasized that the National Internship Program (MagangHub) serves as an effective recruitment tool for the business sector to secure talent that meets industry needs. The Minister made these remarks while inspecting the implementation of MagangHub at PT Adyawinsa Electrical and Power (AEP) in Bekasi, West Java, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

During the visit, Yassierli observed on-the-job training and spoke with eight program alumni who were hired as permanent employees after demonstrating strong skills, a solid work ethic, and operational readiness. He noted that discussions with PT AEP management confirmed that MagangHub adds significant value to the hiring process.

“Based on feedback from company management, the National Internship Program provides tangible benefits. Companies have the opportunity to train, mentor, and directly assess the competencies of prospective employees before deciding to hire them,” Yassierli said.

He explained that on-the-job learning gives companies a comprehensive view of a participant’s readiness before offering employment. Beyond supporting companies, MagangHub provides recent graduates, especially those without prior work experience, with practical industry exposure.

Through the program, participants enhance their professional skills, build discipline, and improve their chances of landing full-time jobs. Yassierli added that the successful hiring of internship alumni highlights the importance of collaboration among the government, business sector, and educational institutions.

“We want the National Internship Program to serve as a bridge connecting industry’s need for competent workers with Indonesia’s young talents who are ready to grow. In this way, corporate productivity increases, while graduates have greater opportunities to secure decent jobs,” he explained.

During their dialogue with the Minister, the newly hired alumni expressed gratitude to the President of Indonesia for implementing the program. They highlighted how the program's soft skills training built their discipline, workplace ethics, and confidence as they entered the workforce.
