RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Minister of Creative Economy (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, invited 99 associations in the creative economy subsector to actively participate in making the 2026 National Economic Census (SE) a success. The invitation was delivered during the 2026 National Economic Census Socialization event in Jakarta on Monday, June 29, 2026, which also presented the 2025 creative economy statistics as a basis for formulating creative economy sector policies.

According to him, the economic census is a crucial opportunity to obtain a more comprehensive picture of the condition and potential of the creative economy in Indonesia. Through complete and accurate data, the government can formulate more targeted policies for businesses and workers in the sector.

On the same occasion, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) revealed that the creative economy's GDP growth in 2025 will reach 6.89 percent, or approximately 1.7 percent higher than the national economic growth of 5.11 percent. In nominal terms, the creative economy's GDP value is recorded at IDR 1,757.87 trillion, making this sector a new source of national economic growth.

The Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, stated that the creative economy has characteristics of high and inclusive growth. "Its growth is both high and inclusive because it can absorb a large workforce," she said.

BPS also noted that the application and game development subsector will be the sector with the highest growth in 2025, at 18.22 percent. This is followed by the film, animation, and video subsector, which will grow by 17.59 percent, and photography, at 10.15 percent.

Minister of Creative Economy (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, hopes that all associations will help disseminate information about the census to their members so that no creative economy players are missed. He believes the census results will provide a crucial foundation for developing the national creative economy, including mapping challenges in each subsector and developing more effective intervention programs.
