Govt Launches Official Logo for 81st Anniversary of Indonesia's Independence

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The government officially launched the logo and visual identity for the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Monday, June 29, 2026. The logo created by Fajar Novario from Padang was chosen as the official identity for this year's Independence Day commemoration after receiving 44.73 percent of the votes thru a public polling mechanism.

Vice Minister of State Secretary, Juri Ardianto, said that the logo carries the theme "Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia." According to him, the logo design showcases a strong philosophy by incorporating the exploration of various traditional motifs of the archipelago as a symbol of unity in diversity.

"Diversity is the foundation of people's sovereignty to realize a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia,” Juri said.

On that occasion, the Vice Minister of Justice also expressed appreciation for the active participation of the public in determining the official logo of the Indonesian Independence Day thru a public polling mechanism. Not only in the selection of the logo, but the government hopes the public will also participate in celebrating Independence Day.

"The President hopes that the festivities of the 81st anniversary of Indonesia's independence will belong to the people. The President urges the public to continue to actively participate and take part in this year's independence celebration," he said.

The government invites the public to hoist the Red and White Flag and use the official logo and theme of the Indonesian Independence Day in various publications, including social media, banners, billboards, and merchandise. Guidelines for using the logo and supporting materials can be accessed thru the official website logohutri.istanapresiden.go.id to ensure uniform usage throughout Indonesia.

The launch of the 81st anniversary logo of the Republic of Indonesia was also attended by the Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, the Presidential Secretary, General TNI Lieutenant General Ariyo Windutomo, and the Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana.
