RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Committee for the Acceleration of Government Digital Transformation (KPTDP), along with the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPANRB), held a meeting with the Mayor of Mataram as the initial step in expanding the Digital Social Protection Program (Perlinsos) pilot in Lombok.

This activity is part of the expansion of the Digital Social Protection Program (Perlinsos) implementation to 42 regencies and cities, following lessons learned from the initial pilot phase in Banyuwangi Regency.

The Acting Deputy for Government Digital Transformation at KemenPANRB, Cahyono, stated on Thursday, 18 June 2026 that the expansion of Digital Social Protection Program (Perlinsos) not only focuses on the use of technology but also is part of a shift in public service governance to make it simpler, more transparent, and more focused on community needs.

"The digitalization of social assistance is a form of digital transformation to reduce inaccurate targeting of social assistance. Currently, 45% of social assistance are still mistargeted. With the Digital Public Infrastructure, we are collecting data from eight ministries/agencies to ensure that no one is left out in receiving social assistance," said Cahyono.

Cahyono stated that Lombok is part of the expansion of the Digital Social Security (Perlinsos) pilot program to 42 regencies and cities, targeting over 30 million people.

Through Digital Perlinsos, the public can access social assistance registration services more easily and transparently.

Using the National Identification Number (NIK) and facial verification, the registration process, which previously took 75 to 200 days, can now be completed in just two minutes, while the objection process can be completed in 20–30 minutes. Fees, which previously reached Rp 150,000, have been reduced to nearly zero.

According to a release received by Voice of Indonesia on Thursday, 18 June 2026, findings from pioneering regions demonstrate that the success of digital transformation is determined not only by technological capacity, but also by coordination across regional agencies, support from regional heads, and the preparedness of support agents as liaisons between the digital system and the community.

During the meeting, the Mayor of Mataram expressed his support for the implementation of Digital Social Protection in his region.

To support operational readiness, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Family Welfare (KPTDP) also provided technical guidance to support agents so that lessons learned from pioneering regions could be applied from the outset.

The pilot expansion to 42 regencies and cities was carried out to ensure implementation readiness across various regional contexts before broader national rollout.

Those with Digital Population Identities (IKD) can access the service through the perlinsos.kemensos.go.id portal, while those without an IKD can register through support agents in their regions.
